Emperor’s new clothes
tale theater
The performance was creating with a cooperation Theater association Thália and Theater Thálian Színház
Directed by Tóth Gábor a.h.
We are not responsible that Andersen’s classical tale is much more actual today than ever before. A vain emperor who cares too much about wearing and displaying clothes and doesn’t look after his subjects. His main advisors – Minister and Hopmester – support his caprices. One day two weavers come and they claim to be able to make the most beautiful clothes from the special fine fabric invisible to anyone who is either hopelessly stupid or unfit for his position. Everyone knows the point of the story.
Does the emperor need punishment or mockery? As long as little brave children who tell the truth are here in the world, the hope still exists…
